What is Young Farmers all about? Nationally Young Farmers have a reputation for enjoying themselves, but they are also the youth movement for people in the age range of 10-26 who live in the countryside. You do not have to be in farming to join us. Indeed, nearly half of our 25,000 members come from non-farming backgrounds. YFC offers a wide variety of activities and opportunities including a National Competitions Programme, the chance to learn new skills through training courses - many of which are free - and international travel through tours, holidays, or even longer stays, through our farm exchange scheme. We also know how to party and have fun and offer a social calander which is second to none. Locally The Young Farmers Clubs are there to serve the needs of the younger generation of the farming community. There are hundreds of clubs throughout the country, which are all individualistic. Praze Young Farmers Club has been serving the community for 65 years, and we are always involved in local events, such as Gwinear and Praze's shows, harvest festivals, local community projects, and more countywide in events such as the County Cabaret Competition and the Royal Cornwall Show.
